Horace Ashenfelter Jumping Hurdle at The Olympics
(Original Caption) Horace Ashenfelter, 29 year old FBI man, is shown winning his heat in the Olympics 3,000 Meter Steppelchase. He broke the record in doing it. Today he made good in the final, beating his nearest challenger, highly-touted Vladimir Kazantsev, of Russia, by 25 yards. He brought the U.S. its 12th Gold Medal in Track and Field of the 1952 Olympiad.
