Aldi copycat court case
A line-up of well-known consumer products Heinz tomato ketchup, sour cream and onion Pringles, Weetabix cereal, original Oreos, and Nutella chocolate spread, alongside products sold by Aldi Wheat Bisks, Nutoka chocolate spread, Belmont Cookies and Cream biscuits, Snackrite crisps and Bramwells tomato ketchup. Aldi's high-profile legal spats with its brand rivals are stacking up as the discounter's thriving UK customer base continues to expand. The latest trademark infringement claim against Aldi, by Thatchers Cider, has been dismissed in the High Court, landing a blow for brands which may be considering similar defences of their products.
