(Original Caption) 10/28/1954-New York, New York- Prominent members of the social and diplomatic circles of New York and Washington dine and dance at the Waldorf-Astoria's Starlight Roof during the Second Annual Pink and Red Versailles Ball. The entertainment, arranged by the American Friends of Versailles, took place in a setting of 16th century tapestries and silver horses, festooned with carved candelabras. The event was held to raise money for the restoration of the Historical Royal Chateau near Paris.
