1920: A portrait of Oscar Swahn, the oldest person to win an Olympic medal. At the age of 73, he took the silver in the running deer double shot (team) event in 1920, having won gold and bronze in competitions at the 1908 and 1912 Games. He started competitive shooting at the age of 16 and was selected by Sweden to compete, alongside his son Alfred, at the Games of Paris in 1924. Aged 77, he wanted to go but was ill and could not travel. He won over 500 first prizes for shooting, all of which he donated to the Army Museum in Stockholm. Mandatory Credit: IOC/Allsport
