Major action against illegal temporary work in meat industry

23 September 2020, Lower Saxony, Garbsen: Federal police vehicles are standing in front of an office building in the Hanover region during a raid. Since the early morning hours, the Federal Police have been conducting searches in five federal states in connection with the illegal smuggling of workers for the meat industry. About 800 officers are mainly on duty in Saxony-Anhalt and Lower Saxony, a spokesperson for the Central German Federal Police said on Wednesday.
