The Lost Boys of Sudan

1991: Since the late 1980's, Sudan's civil war has displaced huge number of people, and among them at least 20,000 children, mostly boys, who watched their parents killed and their villages burnt. Boys as young as six years old, walked a thousand miles in search of safety. Hungry, frightened and weakened, they crossed from Sudan to Ethiopia and back, with many dying along the way.
