South African anti-Apartheid activist Robert Sobukwe reads a newspaper and smokes in his cell at the prison on Robben Island. He was the leader of the Pan-Africanist Congress, a radical offshoot of the African National Congress. Sobukwe was imprisoned from 1960, until his death in 1978.
