(Original Caption) The board of directors of the Philadelphia Athletics held a day-long meeting in Philadelphia August 11 to discuss the future of the American League Franchise. One member said that various proposals were discussed but no decision reached. Two groups, one local and one seeking the franchise for possible relocation in Kansas City, MO., reportedly have made overtures to buy the club.
