Boat swung over house after construction
The good ship Mary Ann, built in the back garden of Leslie Stevenson at his home in Birklands Avenue, Stradbroke, Sheffield, is swung 50 feet over the roof of the house by a 12 ton hydraulic crane before being placed carefully onto a trailer. It took Leslie over three years to build the 18 foot one ton cabin cruiser. Picture shows: The boat is raised up from the back garden before being lifted over the house, 21st May 1968.
