This photo shows the cockpit of the WorldFirst Formula 3 racing car at a test track in Bruntingthorpe near Lutterworth, in Leicestershire on May 20, 2009. The steering wheel is made from a polymer derived from carrots and other root vegetables while the seat is flax fibre shell, soy bean oil foam and recycled polyester fabric. The WorldFirst F3 car, sponsored by Warwick Innovative Manufacturing Research Centre (WIMRC) claims to be the first racing car designed and made from sustainable and renewable materials. Many of the cars' components are recycled materials and its' BMW engine runs on a mixture of diesel and vegetable oil developed by Warwick University.
