KARA-SUU, UZBEKISTAN: Uzbek soldiers patrol a street in Uzbek town of Kara-Suu 19 May 2005. Uzbek troops Thursday reclaimed control of the eastern town of Kara-Suu, where protestors had chased out federal authorities following a bloody military crackdown in the nearby city of Andijan. Residents said that troops had returned during the night, arresting leaders of the protestors who had set fire to government buildings, residents on the Kyrgyz side of the town told AFP.
