MUSEUM-ANIMALS-SEA-MONACO
View taken on July 7, 2009 at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco shows the fossil skeleton of an Ophthalmosaurus, a sea reptile nicknamed "Anna". This rare specimen, which dates back to approximately 150 million years, was acquired by a private collector at an auction sale in Christie's in Paris last April. Anna comes from the Kansas Sea which, during that period, was located in the present region of the same name in the United States of America.
