CLEAN: Ex-French minister banned from Togo's presidential race
Togo's constitutional court has rejected the presidential candidacy of Kofi Yamgnane, a former junior minister in France, citing a mix-up over his date of birth. Yamgnane holds dual nationality and the court disclosed that the French documents he submitted had him born on October 11, 1945, while according to his Togolese documents he was born on December 31. Yamgnane said the aim of the ruling was to disqualify the strongest challenger to the ruling party. Finistere, France (Footage by AFPTV via Getty Images)
